Sunshine State Standards for the Visual Arts

A lot of people ask me,"What's with all this talk of 'benchmarks?'"
Benchmarks are what you child is assessed on. Benchmarks are "recognized standards against which to compare or measure performance of a student. Benchmarking involves continuous comparison to and adapting best practices to improve results and performance in the classroom. Here they are for art. So if you ever want to know the difference between a benchmark and a Sunshine State Standard...there isn't one. They're the same thing.

Happy Reading.

Don't forget Open House in 2 days for K-2. 7:00pm
